Air Commodore Syed Abid Raza, Sitara-e-Basalat (R), Pakistan Air Force (11 November 1927 - 4 April 2000), was a distinguished one star air officer in the "Engineering" branch of PAF.
Air Commodore Raza was known for his illustrious command and staff roles as Officer Commanding (MW) PAF Base Peshawar (Pakistan), Head of Blue Flash Mission Paris (France), Officer Commanding (102MU/AED) PAF Base Faisal, Karachi (Pakistan) and Managing Director F-6 Rebuild Factory (P721), now known as Aircraft Rebuild Factory (ARF) at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra, Pakistan.
Air Commodore Raza joined Shaheen Foundation (a subsidiary of PAF) upon retirement from active military service, as Director Shaheen Builders and later took the charge of General Manager/Managing Director of SWE-PAK Pharmaceutical.
For meritorious services, Air Commodore Raza was awarded the coveted medal of “Sitara-e-Basalat" (Star of Valor, Courage, Devotion, Good Conduct & Performance). He was also the recipient of four war medals and two commemorative medals.
